| The
DEEP2
project is a redshift survey of 50,000 distant galaxies utilizing the
DEIMOS
spectrograph on the
Keck
II telescope. Data release 2 (DR2) is the second public data release for the survey and includes redshift and imaging catalogs in addition to
1-d and 2-d spectra for approximately 75% of the survey.
Note that this release includes DR1, as a subset.
In addition to including the 70 slitmasks released as part of DR1,
data release 2 spans 291 DEIMOS slitmasks, which were observed
during the 2002 - 2005 DEEP2 observing seasons (data collected
August 2002 - September 2005). The slitmasks included in this
release cover three of the four
DEEP2 fields
as shown in this sky
coverage map.
